In Colombia, the firm specializes heavily in asset management for corporate clients as well as private banking. The institution also manages medium- and long-term portfolios and arranges mergers and acquisitions, project financing and capital-market debt and equity issuances, among other areas.

BTG Pactual selected Mambu, the leading cloud-native banking platform, to facilitate the migration of its processes to a digital core with the aim of boosting agility and flexibility while maintaining utmost customer security. The move reflects a global trend of financial-sector players of all sizes turning to digital solutions to transform their banking processes and improve product offerings and user experiences to meet and exceed changing customer expectations.

BTG Pactual chose Mambu’s SaaS platform to take advantage of the agility and flexibility that comes from operating on a 100% cloud-native banking core, which speeds up digital transformation efforts to months instead of years typical of legacy IT systems.

The pandemic forced BTG Pactual to dramatically increase its digital interactions with customers, which highlights the importance of migrating to a banking system that can more efficiently manage and retrieve customer data and information and integrate them into digital products and services.

In 2020, BTG began to convert into a financial holding company  to fully cater to the corporate sector with a comprehensive offer of products and services, and migrating to the cloud forms part of this strategy.
