Customisation of principal and instalments for prepayment calculation
Personal lending | Business lending
Loan repayment schedules can now be customised by adjusting the principal amounts and the number of instalments for loans using the Declining Balance Equal Instalment (DBEI) interest method. This enhancement provides greater personalisation and adaptive loan management, enabling customers using our lending engine to meet individual borrower preferences effectively.
Streamlined refund process for revolving loans
Purchase finance | Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) | Revolving credit
A dedicated refund process has been introduced for revolving loans such as purchase finance, Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL), and revolving credit products. Specific rules were implemented to adjust interest and fees during refunds, eliminating the need for manual workarounds. This streamlines the refund process, enhancing efficiency and simplifying loan management for users. Learn more in our support documentation.
Overpayment threshold for DBEI loans
The instalment adjustment threshold mechanism for Declining Balance Equal Instalment (DBEI) loans ensures that payment amounts are only modified if the next scheduled instalment is more than a defined number of days (threshold).
If an overpayment results in changes to the loan schedule, the next instalment will remain unchanged if it is within the threshold period. Instead, the adjustment will apply starting from the following instalment. Similarly, in the case of interest rate changes that impact the instalment amounts, adjustments will only take effect beyond the threshold period.
This feature provides mortgage lenders with a more predictable and borrower-friendly system, ensuring smooth adaptation to borrower behaviour and market conditions while avoiding abrupt changes to upcoming payments.
Fee capitalisation for mortgages
A new fee capitalisation feature now allows mortgage fees to be added to the principal amount during the loan lifecycle, streamlining payment and interest calculations. This enhancement delivers greater operational efficiency and flexibility for both lenders and borrowers.
Improved transfer of account ownership
Personal deposits | Business deposits | Stored value accounts
To simplify and improve deposit account management, we’ve streamlined account ownership transfers and branch associations reducing administrative burdens on Mambu users and providing the flexibility that our clients need for efficient account management. Learn more about how you can initiate a transfer in our documentation.
Performance improvements for ‘Instant Payments’
To comply with the new regulations that require all Payment Services Providers (PSPs) in SEPA member states to process instant payments by January 2025, we are ensuring the compliance of our payment processing system to streamline payment processing. This ensures faster and more reliable transactions to support the migration of payment customers to Mambu Instant Payments.
Enhanced experience for regular incoming SEPA payments
We are improving our incoming payments endpoint to handle larger batch files more efficiently. By implementing immediate confirmation after two validation steps, our system can process batch files of incoming payments up to 100k transactions without any timeout. This adjustment ensures faster feedback to customers, boosting processing reliability and user satisfaction.
New and improved Audit Trail capability
We’re excited to announce a significant enhancement to our Audit Trail capability which tracks all activities that have been performed in the Mambu core banking system via the UI or our APIs to ensure full traceability. We are re-architecting our platform to improve its scalability, reliability, and flexibility ensuring optimal performance for customers of all sizes, whether you’re processing a few events or millions per day. The new redesign also ensures that our system is adaptable to our customers’ evolving business needs, making it easier for us to introduce new audit events and enhancements in the future.
Clients webhook management via ‘Notifications Microservice’
Customers will be able to create and dispatch ‘Client webhooks’ through the Notifications Microservice offering advanced control and automation. The functionality is now available to new customers via Configuration as Code (CasC) and APIs, and will be expanded to cover all Mambu customers in 2025.
Stay tuned
