They provide a powerful and flexible solution to capture additional relevant information (i.e. Currency Code, Postal Code, Industry Code, Communication Preferences, etc). They help answer specific and custom business cases and support essential banking processes like transaction clearing, KYC checks, and client management through the power of integrations.
Previously, when wanting to use specific custom field definitions with type selection in API calls, the fields were referred to using labels only. However, since labels are prone to frequent changes, whenever a label was modified, downstream applications relying on that custom field would require individual updates, resulting in potential overloads and unnecessary manual rework for our customers.
We have introduced a new improvement to enhance this experience. Now, in addition to labels, we also support IDs as part of the payload. This means that integrations can utilise IDs to reference the custom field, streamlining the process and eliminating manual work and redundancy. With this enhancement, the custom field on the entity level will automatically retrieve the associated label based on the ID specified in the request.
This improvement brings value to our customers by reducing the burden of manual updates and the risk of errors caused by label changes. It ensures smoother integrations, enhanced efficiency, and a seamless experience when leveraging custom fields for specific business needs.
