Mambu will provide MACH with the increased agility and speed of its cloud-native platform in order to further increase the growing userbase of more than two and a half million and achieve the stated goal of MACH of becoming an inclusive digital account that ensures access to quality technological products that are simple and safe to use for everyone.
“Banco Bci has created an accessible, reliable digital product in MACH that empowers its users through its comprehensive financial services portfolio, which are available to all Chileans. We are pleased to provide our cloud-native technology to improve the platform and further increase its userbase”, said Edgardo Torres-Caballero, Managing Director of Mambu Latin America.
MACH was created in 2017 to open the door to the world for all Chileans, through its digital wallet, payment card and transfer service. Driven by financial inclusion, MACH has become a digital account that provides a comprehensive service to millions of Chileans and foreigners that live in the country and who have limited access to traditional banking. In fact, in only three years MACH has become the second largest bank in the country according to its customer base
Everyone can use MACH, the only requirements are to be 18 years or older, have a smartphone and an ID card. With one of Mambu’s main pillars and driving forces being the increase in financial inclusion, the goal of MACH of providing access to quality financial services makes the partnership with Mambu a natural one that will benefit millions of users.
“Growing a user base to millions while keeping our innovation speed has been a great challenge. As we transition to a digital bank we need to develop new products and keep our systems reliable. Mambu provides a cloud banking platform that makes it very easy for our engineering team to work with”, said Ignacio Gajardo, Chief Technology Officer.
