The challenge
From legacy to scalable, cloud-based tech
As Total Finance aimed to expand its product offerings and improve operational efficiency, they recognised the limitations of their existing, monolithic software. The legacy system lacked the flexibility and scalability needed to support their growth and digital ambitions.
Total Finance needed a core banking system that would allow them to quickly launch and manage a broader range of services, while supporting their growth. The solution had to be cloud-based, scalable, and able to integrate with external services like payment providers and front-end systems.

The platform’s modular architecture provided the scalability and agility to launch their loan products quickly and efficiently, while ensuring the system could easily adapt to future product expansions.
Mambu’s ability to scale and integrate with other services made it the perfect solution for Total Finance’s immediate needs, while also positioning them for future growth as they look to launch new offerings, such as mortgages and credit cards.

In May 2025, Total Finance successfully went live with personal and auto loans on Mambu’s core banking platform. This milestone is a critical first step in their ongoing digital transformation, enabling them to offer these products to customers in a faster, more efficient way.
