Allica Bank chooses Mambu to supercharge UKβs SMEs.
The collaboration between Allica and Mambu allows the bank to bring bespoke lending products tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized businesses, and reintroduce tech-savvy relationship managers to enhance the customer experience.

Despite representing 30% of the UKβs GDP, the established SME sector has been left behind by traditional banks and overlooked by newer monoline fintechs. Allica Bank is positioned to build and deliver products and services to directly address this challenge.
Allica Bank was granted its UK banking licence in September 2019, and has grown quickly since then. The bank has offices in Milton Keynes and London, and a team of expert relationship managers out on the road across England, Scotland and Wales, providing personal support to small and medium-sized businesses in their local communities.
Allica Bank has been built especially to serve established SMEs. The bank combines modern tools and technology with having feet on the ground in local communities.

In November 2021, Allica announced a purchase of Allied Irish Bankβs GB SME customers, a complex loan portfolio containing a wide variety of loan types. Allica needed a ledger solution to form the base to migrate the loans onto within a matter of months, and thatβs where Mambuβs composable technology foundation came in. The fintech challenger bank successfully went live earlier in 2022.
