We now automatically block any IP address that exceeds a threshold of 10 requests with invalid credentials, regardless of the interval between calls. Customers have full control over IP restrictions and can amend the list of both blocked and whitelisted IPs from their dedicated Mambu administration panel.
Blocking IP addresses adds an additional layer of protection against unauthorised access attempts or potential attacks while also guarding against credential misuse or theft. If IP whitelisting is enabled and one of the addresses is included in the list of permitted IPs, it can still be blocked if it displays suspicious or unauthorised behaviour, effectively protecting Mambu customers from misuse of previously trusted IP addresses.
