In case of system failure, Marqeta’s Commando Mode offers a fallback measure that enables processing transactions on behalf of banks when they are offline or unavailable.

To continue enriching the Mambu-Marqeta integration, this feature updates the cached account balance information each time an authorisation hold is created, supporting Stand-In-Processing (STIP) on behalf of banks while Marqeta’s Commando Mode is in effect. This improves accuracy and reliability of transactions and enables the card network to approve transactions in real-time.
